Jesus, I'm Sorry
Written by Adam M. Snow

Jesus, I'm sorry for the way I've been living. I'm just a miserable soul not worth saving. I have broken your commandments, every single one. I don't know how I did, but I know it's been done. I'm sorry for the lies I have spoken. I know I should have been truthful, now my heart is broken. My heart is broken be for you, because I know you can make all things new. Jesus, I'm sorry I'm a professional sinner, sinning without a reason and I'm far from winning. Jesus, I'm sorry I've hurt my fellow man, had hate in my heart so heavy it's hard to stand. Jesus, I'm sorry I've lead countless sheeps astray, they saw who I was and I pushed them all away. Jesus, I'm sorry I've cursed your name, like Peter I've denied you; just thinking about it drives me insane. I tried to lead my own way apart from you. I found myself lost, not knowing what to do. Jesus, I'm sorry I know I've broken your heart. Forgive me, Lord give me a brand new start. Forgive me, Father I've lost my way. Forgive me of my transgressions, I promise I will not stray. Jesus, I'm sorry I should not had you carry my cross, it was meant for me, my life I count it all as loss. You shouldn't have taken the nails for me, but you did and you called me free. Jesus, I'm sorry I'm not worthy of your love, yet you give it so freely and gracefully like a dove. Jesus, I'm sorry for the way I've been living. I'm just a miserable soul but for some reason, you see I am worth saving.

This is a really powerful story. It is so well-written.

Sometimes in life God and Jesus have forgiven us long before we forgive ourselves for things we have done.

I love the way this is written. Directly speaking to Jesus and asking His forgiveness for the things that have been done and for being a professional sinner. Trust me I felt that line very deeply.

We all fail and fall short of the Glory of God. Thank God, He doesn't need our help to save us. He did that job alone. But we should live as those bought from the slavery of sin, not wanting to return to those old ways. Bless.

I do understand the poetry Adam. I have been saved often.
"Jesus, I'm sorry for the way I've been living. I'm just a miserable soul but for some reason, you see I am worth saving."
I believe all of us have a purpose. Took me 37 years to find my purpose. Now I have five grandchildren to keep me from being alone in old age. Powerful and worthwhile poetry shared my friend.
