Wander Not, Your Journey Somber

Wander not, your journey somber, wrought yourself this day to remember. The treacherous path you dare not go; it is true the coming crow.
Wander Not, Your Journey Somber
Written by Adam M. Snow
Wander not, your journey somber,
wrought yourself this day to remember.
The treacherous path you dare not go;
it is true the coming crow.
Carrying heap of weeping tears,
feeding on your every fears.
Lest you forget the coming morrow;
a day of new, free of sorrow.
Travel lightly and repose,
take with you a faith that grows.
Many storms may pass on through,
in the end the light shines true.
Do not fret the day of yore,
hope will rise, evermore.
Carry on my wayward child,
lest not the world beguiled.
But in the moment standing firm.
Alas! I say to you affirm.
In this moment swiftly passing,
coming quickly, love's amassing.
Do not weep, but weep with joy.
Don't give in to the devil's ploy.
Travel onward through and through,
grabbing hope for love pursues.
In the end the victor reigns,
taking all the worldly pains.
Alas! I say is true,
fear not that which is new.
For in this dire moment,
upon life's bestowment,
brings forth great pleasure;
"Love," the greatest treasure.

A lovely lilt to this poem. It could easily be turned into a song! I'm not saying you should do that, but it has that kind of cadence. I like the upbeat message and your choice of words and rhymes. Really good!

Don’t not let fear guide you and stop you in your track simply because the road is difficult and filled with obstacles.
This was smooth old world poetry that allowed me to picture a long road filled with mountains and valleys as love and reams await at the end.

Those words stuck out on me. It was like a hammer to the mind and soul.

A derisive and unapologetic piece that strikes at the heart, well done, good read.

I agree Adam.
"Do not weep, but weep with joy.
Don't give in to the devil's ploy.

I liked the complete poem and the above lines. We must go forward, not backward. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Not much journeying going on these days, even with gas at a buck fifty a gallon. But I enjoyed the read my friend. And I agree that love is the greatest treasure.
