Like Sands from an Hourglass

Like Sands from an Hourglass

A Poem by Adam M. Snow

I see the moments falling to the past; falling, like sands from an hourglass. Every memory, just a figment of our imagination; our very existence, our foundation gone in the blink of an eye.

Like Sands from an Hourglass
Written by Adam M. Snow

I see the moments falling to the past;
falling, like sands from an hourglass.
Every memory, just a figment of our imagination;
our very existence, our foundation
gone in the blink of an eye.
As time is irrelevant, we die.

Lingering on and on in the depths of despair,
with time weighing on our shoulders,
our burden to bear.
Our future falls dark,
like sands from an hourglass, we fall.

I like the photos of the hourglass. Gave strength and purpose for the poem.
"Every memory, just a figment of our imagination;
our very existence, our foundation
gone in the blink of an eye.
As time is irrelevant, we die."
I believe the value of time is under-rated. We can use time to go backward and fall forward. Not backward. A very good poem. Made the old man think this morning. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
