***For Boston*** Smoke and Chaos By: Adam M. Snow
I see smoke, waking pain; cries of souls, death in vein. I see streets flowing red, among many lost or dead; reigning chaos from insanity, growing strong our humanity. I see from terror rising heroes, amidst chaos, love arose. Flowing tears still being shed; many nations, mourning the dead. People scattering like fluttering birds, screaming cries still being heard. I see from chaos, many uniting; a nation’s love, a fire igniting.
I haven't seen any written pieces about the situation (yet) besides yours. Which I must say I'm glad to see. A very nice and thoughtful dedication from you on this situation in Boston. No matter what people think about who did it, Government or etc, it's still a situation of tragedy.
I really like this piece, as usual your writing is excellent and enjoyable. The rhyming as always, so spot on and it feels so... effortless. Such a great flow of words.
I truly think you captured the imagery of the situation in Boston wonderfully in all it's tragic details, yet the hope of "uniting" and "nation's love". Thank you for writing & sharing this piece.
This is the first poem, I have seen on WC regarding the Boston bombing. I really like it. What are your thoughts on this, if you don't mind me asking? A terrorist group/individual or Government?
We cannot allow cowards who kill strangers to create fears. Like your last lines. We must unite and show the cowards we do not fear being alive. This is a sad day for the city of Boston. We need to pray for the poor people killed and the so many injured. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on a hard subject.
