The night was young, I found myself walking alone in an empty park. It was the midst of winter, and all I could do was think of that day. A year has passed since then, since I watched my beloved vanish before me; still it aches my heart to know she's not here. I walked pass our garden, where we first met every night; I thought about our past adventures through time. Our love is forbidden, as I am from the past of ninety six and she is future of twenty forty six. If the news of your love were to get out, the government of her time would send out the group known as The Scythe; a group specialized in killing those who violated the Time Laws, and law number two, 'Never fall in love with those of the past.'

I like the story idea and i only found one typo that if changed would help the reading go more smoothly. if you change the "we" to "we'd" in the sentence, "where we first met", it would not sound as awkward.
