Writer's Block
By: Adam M. Snow

I am lost without inspiration;
I cannot think, my thoughts are empty.
A sudden expectation
of words I cannot see.

I try that I must but I cannot write;
the ink in my hand, an outspoken sanity.
No inspiration, not of the night;
I am lost to insanity.

Oh the pain to have writers block, you have captured that feeling very aptly.

I don't believe in writers block. I believe we become distracted. But if we are writers then we write. Its like breathing. I also believe that our internal editors cause most of the problem perceived as block - so stuff the editor in the closet. Not a criticism of your poem by any stretch. I enjoyed it. Peace

I always find it ironic that people can write even when they have writer's block.

I have the same problem too...I tried to write a poem yesterday, it wasn't as good as I expected it to be, but yea...I hope you find inspiration as soon as possible :)

Great flow and very interesting. I like how you made the pause after I cannot think my, that does a great job of bringing out the frustration. Nice work.

I have a hatred in my heart for writer's block. And I think you did a very well job describing both the frustrations and uncertainties of this unlucky feeling. Great work, Adam.
