I see her alone in far distant breeze; as umbra despair her, which does not please. I looked into her eyes, and felt emptiness still- a little bit of hope as she falls ill.

I see her alone in far distant breeze; as umbra despair her, which does not please. I looked into her eyes, and felt emptiness still- a little bit of hope as she falls ill.
It is sadness which draws me to her; the feelings of lost and fear as it were. She hides that tear so no one to see what lies within her, the feeling of free.
She appears translucent in a crowd of many; she is to us but a lowly memory. She longs for that which I cannot give; a feeling of love, a reason to live.
Oh. I love this one. "She appears translucent in a crowd of many" is such a powerful line. It's what made me relate to your writing and a reader should always get a feeling of understanding the authors written word. There's emotion put in this that I can personally appreciate. The description of the girl throughout your work gives you a sense of how much the narrator cares for her and what she is like. I feel as if this is a lovely, tragic romance.
'she appears translucent in a crowd of many; she is to us but a memory..' sounds like she had been abandoned by her loved ones when she needed them most. goes to show how cruel people can be when they have to pretend that a tragedy is not happening before their eyes and can turn their back on one who doesn't have much time to live. this is a very sad and disturbing poem. great job.
Great poem, especially the last two lines...
"She longs for that which I cannot give;
a feeling of love, a reason to live."
- Amazing!
We all long for love, loving and being loved, we want to live, but need to see the point, sometimes at least.
There is too much sadness out there... You captured it well!
I like the photo and your words. Gave life to the poem. Hard to find something at the wrong time in a life that need a tender touch. Good description made this poem a pleasure to read. Thank you for the excellent poem.
