Heartbreak

Heartbreak

A Poem by snk4211
"

We all suffered heartbreak once in our lives, and everyone thinks it is a pain that you can't escape. They may be right, but what if the person who caused it had no knowledge of what they did?

"

I didn’t mean to snuff your spark,

To leave you cold, alone, and in chains.

I didn’t mean to break your heart.

To leave you holding heavy baggage, I can claim.

I didn’t mean to leave you in the dark,

Letting you wander aimlessly against your chains.

But I did leave you one thing,

A faint mark of my name.

A faint memory you will claim.

And a faint feeling that will lead you astray.

Author's Note

I just want to express myself through writing. I want to be a writer, but I know that dream is long gone, so I give up. I am just going to write here and pray my days go quickly away.
