So it happenedA Poem by SaadA tell-tale of how a smart and confident guy crosses path with an enigmatic girl in his class only to lose her.I stepped on the aisle with a door at my face Leading to a room where studying seems a race I knew I wasn't meant to be here But who cares, It's a burden I have to bear The Room was crowded with bags all around I knew that instant it's hell that I have found Amidst the chaos blinked at me a light of hope That's the same girl with a book of Alexander pope. I approached her and she smiled. God ! I was happy we shared the same height. We laughed, argued, agreed and disagreed It felt as if we belonged to a unique human breed Damn! It was almost time for class No worries she said the teacher won't mind if we entered last. We exit the library hand-in-hand Felt like a vocalist and a drummer of a same band. Months passed and our bond grew stronger Then Life happened and she was a goner. We had fights, quarrels and what not It was time to finally loose the knot A year and not a word from either side Just smiles from the outside and heartache inside. © 2016 SaadAuthor's Note
