BLUE

BLUE

A Poem by Sunshine G
"

A work under depression: a struggling soul.

"

I found haven in loneliness’ arms

And my heart is filled with emptiness

I am a sojourner of uncertain wanders

A prisoner of insanity and despair

My mind constantly wants to die

And my heart is tired to battle

I’m drowning... Very deep…

Into the ocean of madness.

Life! Why oh life,

You still breathe in me?!

I neither have inspiration

Nor any motivation

Don’t have courage over my weaknesses

And the strength to be encouraged

Don’t have enough cause to live

Nonetheless, living might be the reason.

Life can be stunning at times.

However, I fail to see

In the robust leaves of my goals,

Blooms the new-born bud of hopes.#

Even tho I’ve lived a good long life, I often feel very ready to let go of this journey. Your poem describes how I’ve felt many times. It does seem like we’re doing battle, just trying to live, especially when we are working against some internal challenges, like being in mental, emotional, or physical pain. I have found that the harder I fight against living, the more determined God is to make me live out my life. Surely there must be something I’m here to contribute. So hopefully you will find such a meaningful purpose to drive away the dreary thoughts expressed so realistically in your poem! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
