The WorkersA Poem by Akira KodamaRepresentative of the struggle of the working class and the poor under the ruling system of capitalism and oppression.
Beaten by stick
Owned by the paper, crushed by the coin Stuck in a looping dream Of imaginary wealth. I seek freedom from oppression You say I am a traitor. I seek a solution, although difficult, within reach Unaccepting, you call it slavery. ... Quite the contrary. ... You do not see that you are already slaves. Slaves, to paper and coin That mean nothing. Do you not see how you fear for your preservation? Your fear stems from a so-called "need" for this imaginary wealth. Exploitation of the ones who pave your roads, build your houses, mine for your worthless sparkling materials At the potential cost of their lives. All for the dollar. All for nothing. © 2013 Akira KodamaFeatured Review
