THE TALL DARK MAN!

A poem i wrote about woman getten beaten by their husbands thought i'd write a poem about it to show how they felt!

Overpowerly tall man thinking you can get the better of me.

My eyes wide open i can freely see.

Little but strong i have my mind to thank.

Keeping my thoughts to myself calmly and blank.

 

You don't scare me i have as much right as you.

So big fellow what you gonna do?

You can punch me or beat me sore.

But you'll be the one walking outta the door.

 

Your anger is the worst like a light switch on and off.

I'm not your slave moving at your every cough.

Free i am my own person.

Knowing this situation will one day worsen.

 

Can't have love kids or you.

I can never fully judge you might do.

One minute your fine the next your not.

When your next punch is when's your next shot?

 

Why can you change see sense in youself?

Do you want to kill yourself?

Or kill the one you love?

Either way wake up pull your head from above!!!

Spousal abuse is one of the most barbaric things in the world, in my opinion. I had a friend whose husband beat her. Nearly went mad. It breaks my heart because I know I could have prevented it. Sigh. Oh, well. You don't want to hear my problems. Good poem. Don't mind the grammatical and spelling errors.
