What started out as my 1st Haiku attempt...turned itself into a shape poem...although it still has the 5/7/5 going on... is there a law against 5/7/5 shape poems ? Hummm....
it isn't a haiku with the fancy shaping you did. a haiku has a 5-7-5 (I think lol) syllabic count per line.
what it is is a wonderful Shape Poem and I would leave it as it is. Even if you want it to be a haiku, I wuld write a different poem and leave this one be. It gives me a wonderfull rapids feel that will be lost if you take away the cascading letters.... terrific job (:
This is just so cool! I don't care what the laws are. If they don't work for you, break 'em, or at least bend them a little. I sure as heck wont be arguing to follow the rules. lol
