You should know

You should know

A Poem by Ashley Jordan

What do I do?
What should I say?
How do I act when you push me away?
Your anger, frustration, depression and rage
have me backed in the corner, I'm locked in a cage.
And across the room from me.
I see.
It's the same for yourself.
It's a shame.
I feel I'm the one to blame
even when I'm not.
You won't open up, I don't know what to do!
Retaliate or cooperate?
How do I comfort you?
That's all I want.
Because your wave of emotions pulls me under too.
It drowns me and chokes me until I become blue...
In the face,
just talking to you and  and the brick walls you encase-
yourself in.
I need to understand.
I try
to compromise.
I try
to realize the struggles you are facing.
I only wish to take your pain.
To ease it.
Relieve it.
You should know,
you never have to be alone.
You're the only one forcing yourself
down this road.

It seems I'm very fond of them, unfortunately. Maybe I should just avoid trying to save the world. :p

Don't you love when you can see that there's obviously something very wrong and when you ask they say.."Nothing." I'm done talking to brick walls. Now I try to avoid emotionally closed people.
