The Loner

The Loner

A Poem by SmittyJas

Sitting in my lonely chair
Wondering if anyone really cares
no ringing on the telephone
No one calling me From their home

They know my situation
Just a phone call could bring
a smile to a loner face
Bring back memories of yesteryear

The kind he will not easily erase
Memories that will bring
teardrops to his face
Happy Tears for sure

Many Friend Never stay in touch
Even with Facebook things don't matter much
It's Plain as the nose that was on my face
All those good friends that my memories can not erase

I have given the people who earned the respect
All my best regards rather near or far
My Love is one of a Christian Spirit
So Lets all praise God and Let Him Hear it.

Times can be tough. and your right. facebook isn't enough. Does not and will not ever amount to seeing those special faces or hearing the voices. Just not the same without those special people in our lives.. lovely read. Thanks for sharing

''Many Friend Never stay in touch''...It's so true and every single person can relate to that.

Very touching words Smitty. Loneliness is an epidemic in a world so full of people...crazy as it is
