Panic of 1933A Poem by SmittyJasThe break up of a young coupleThe Panic of 1933
By James A Smith Sunshine or rain there is beauty in the vine of these flowers basking in the sun baking all day long in the hot august afternoon Long past the start of summer last June Me and my Gal walk the garden in plain silent times We think alike and read each others minds Its just something we do and we do it all the time She loves the beautiful thoughts of her I have Deep in side my brain releasing the thoughts that make her fall deeper and deeper in love with me Wanting to make a family tree We could connect on this next week you see I have much love for her stored up inside of me Sunshine and flower beds are where we walk together Talk about of future together And remember the olden days good old days of your youth when we were in high school and had our whole life ahead of us Life had side track our plans We jumped on separate trains headed in different directions and we never met or stopped to get off we never met our connection Our love was not in the resurrection Or in the light we were not meant for each other even those we thought we were to be a couple for life We left the flower garden the flower bed and the sunshine behind We never walk the fields again Odds were against us to succeed Voices to the heart Do reveal two hearts were broken We felt the panic of 1933. © 2015 SmittyJasReviews
