Love and the baitA Poem by SmittyJasGone FishingBlack bear goes fishing at the break of dawn Looking for Mrs. Right to come along Hoping she comes singing his song So he notices from her first tune He has been hearing it since the month of June He has been wanting to visit West Virginia To meet his mate hoping by nature It just wasn't to late She had come from a good line Of Cubs families She is tender in years With a sweet smile Kinder than most With an open mind A heart as good as gold Just for a start Now Big Black Bear was going to save his berries For the lunch he was to have with his sweet heart On that very same afternoon He got off the train heading south for Georgia Where there are more honey bee hives Than you can count and bears Love honey You can bet your money How much Bears love Honey Old black Bear climbing a tree To get some honey for his babies and me His sweet Girl friend just can't wait To share some of his honey cakes. This Black Bear is not from the wild He is a zoo bear my child He gets a steady dose of honey in his diet every day For that is the only way they can keep The black bears from being wild bears Is to feed them honey all day and the Children can see them at play
