Away From this HouseA Poem by SmittyJasRomantic PoetryLife away from this house Is lonely without you Our house without your love Is not our home Since you been gone I been left here thinking What a life we had together We weathered every storm But now that you have left and you are gone This House is no longer our home For love does not live here anymore Only Ghost of what once was Shadows the rooms and hallways The loving home is no more The children we had have grown and gone They were not enough to keep this love strong But they were the beginning I did not look for another woman but love has fallen apart We walked our separate ways Never to walk back that way again Away from this house we still call the Kids family and their family is our family we walk the straight and narrow path That where never our two roads my pass Our kids come first before we Completely walked away Our lives are not a total mistake It just hurts the kids When its all to late But we both are trying to walk That straight and narrow path Where the married couples who stick things out Run the three legged race at a slower pace They end up with that House that is a home with love and healthy kids natured With love and respect for each other
