Losing the summertime sunshine

Losing the summertime sunshine

A Poem by SmittyJas
"

A romance that is dying

"
Losing the summertime sunshine
Means you're losing that romantic love for me
We used to walk alone along the lake shore
Take each other burdens upon our shoulders

As we felt the summer sun upon our backs
and left on strangers attack or invade
our romantic space or time
We always walked down lovers lane

It was the good old summer time
Our hands were clutched together
Like romantic lover's do
But the summer sun's were fading

and our romance was through
We no longer walked that garden path
Hand in hand as lover's always seem to do
The romantic tide was broken the bond severed

A love wash out to sea
Gone as the summer's warmths
That now turns to an autumn's breeze
We used to walk hand in hand

Now we don't even talk to one and other
No communication ever no never
a sad state of affairs between one's
Whom called out each other's name in the night

when they held each other so tight
till the morning light
Such a romantic sight
Now look at their plite

Beautiful piece! Felt very teary thinking about my own "special someone" I really like how it's flowing so effortlessly and so freely. My knees felt weak as I was reading line by line. This was (Literally) Breathtaking!
