Lucy,Linus,Snoopy and Charlie Brown
Baseball Poetry -The Peanuts gang and baseball

The umpire says Play ball
Now Lucy,Linus Snoopy and Charlie Brown
On the field for the first time this spring
Peppermint Patty,Marcy and Sherman

Were Just all part of the infielders
Sally Brown play out field with her golden locks
blowing in the spring breeze like wild flowers in the Meadows
First inning the visitors was at bat

Charlie Brown was on the pitchers mound
The whole team behind him
Cheering on Old Charlie Brown
Lucy some times though Old Chuck

Was a lock to be a blockhead
Or some of the other inhuman things
They would say about old Charlie Brown
Poor Old Charlie Brown seemed like
He never had a friend around

But Linus to the rescue he seemed
To have so much logic for old Charlie Brown
Linus was his best friend in town
Linus never let old Charlie Brown down

In baseball it aways seemed their home team
lost every game they every played
No hero on their teams
Just friends from the old neighborhood it seemed

Snoopy had that sneaky laugh
When Charlie had done something foolish
But Snoopy was his best Friend
In the end it was the boy and this loyal dog Snoopy.
