Left me at the alterA Poem by SmittyJasWedding bell bluesWe had it all planned a wedding day between a bride and a man Every one was there but the bride didn't care She stood him up alone at the alter Those wedding bells blues he sings alone she had her tennis shoes on she made a run for it she couldn't close the deal for him his fate was sealed She got him singing the wedding bells blues When she stood him up at the alter She left him cold and bare When everyone stopped and steered Oh where was his bride to be She broke his heart in misery She was no where to be found For his love life well I would start over at page one which for him couldn't be much fun a trust issue would be number one Yes she left him hanging out at the alter and he's got the wedding bell blues I hope this never happens to you Mister this can only hurt and break a heart true
