To Be A Bee Photographer
By James A. Smith

Oh what It takes
To be a good bee Photographer,
First you must take safety
into consideration

Use Insect repellent if you had trouble
with bee stings before,
I dress in long sleeve
shirts and pants

To protect from bee stings
and always ware a ball cap on my head
Just incase some ticks attack me
from the trees above.

For them I don't have love.
Once you know where to stand
and watch the bees
Look for hives in the trees

or some are in the ground
Yellow jackets bees do Have their hives underground
When you are in a botanical garden
Take note where the hive may be stored

Don't get to courageous
Around the pollinators homes
They are honey bees and want
to do their business alone
I will take my camera in my hands

And watch as the bumble bee flies
Only getting close when I feel comfort
And take time and skill
Not to scare the bumble bee at will.

It's usually a sunny day in the fields
When I get in the mood for some
Shooting of bees and flowers
and other strange insects

In the bushes I set the camera
On continuous shooting
And hope to catch them in flight with
Their wings flapping

A little burry motion is great
For my style of photography

Just the bees and the other harmless
Insects of the garden
Put there for me to share
With God's Care
