Time For Baseball

Time For Baseball

A Poem by SmittyJas
"

Waiting for the sun and summer fun

"
I love Baseball
Summer time is coming
Spring is six weeks away
The Groundhog said so today

I'm Waiting for the sun and summer fun
Baseball Crackerjacks and Popcorn with soda
The bases are loaded and no body out
a thrill to the fans and the batters got a good hitters count

The Yankees are leading 4-2
The Angels are batting
It's the bottom of the eights
Bases are loaded no bodes out

The closer is called upon
To do what he does
Close the game out
and save the game and A Yankees Win

But Albert and Trout
Are ready to bat
They carry the burden
the weigh of the whole team

On their at bats
Remember the bases are loaded
and no one is out
Yankees in the lead

WIth the closer on the hill
Robin and Albert
have wood in their hands
waiting to end this contest with one swing of the bat

One thing I missed the years in Arkansas was not having a state team to root for. Now I am back and it is go Detroit Tigers, although they really blew it in 2014..Valentine
