I walked into this blindA Poem by SmittyJasblind loveShe hid her imperfections from my sight I seen what I wanted to see and I was blinded by the light She dazzled me with dancing and foreplay I didn't know how to shake her off She knew how to recharge my batteries and that made me feel good in side I was wired for sound She reeked with amplifiers and aggressive tunes She sang the oldies That made me feel young again Like I was in my twenties and foot loose and fancy free She counted the dollars on my head She known I had some spare change to spread around Like a clown I did with ease Dear Lady I aim to please I got careless I started to drift I didn't see what was in the mist She was cooking me like I was stew In the pot lined with gold She seen beyond my years and matched her wits against mine I was the loser in this game I will never be the same she was the game changer I wanted to tame Who am I to blame She was a flame The fire set off a storm Flames burning down the house wasn't safe for man or mouse Never dealt with such aggressions my flesh was burnt beyond recognition This old flame Knew her game and I was just a toy in her attic I was problematic She wiped me away Like I was chock on a board She put an end to me She had me floored She wasted me For she was bored I was concord by that little twit
