Home life gone bad

This marriage I had

was sacked from behind

A home wrecker showed up

My life was never the same

Lost of family and friends

Like you had the black death

You wish you could give your life a rest

No one expected this to happen to us

we showed every sign of love

Family values were written on the wall

We read and did not recall

All the good advice we gotten

The pain was to great

You didn't want to see me through

We stopped counting on one and other

I stepped aside while you held another

Made me fell less of a man

Knowing I failed at loves games

And hurt you so

 

The one I promised to love 

Forever and a day

The promises we made to each other

didn't matter any more

Things got compacted

When a loss of a job

Was about ever six month

You couldn't rely on my pay

once again I fell like I failed you some how

But is was the nature of the beast

I chosen a bad profession

It left me in a bad position

I felt like I was being stoned

In a world where money matters

you can't survive on love

you took on to much responsibility

The good Lord was watching

But didn't walk the walk

I should of got out sooner than I did

No future in the business I was in

Job ops got smaller and smaller

I had to find a new profession

back to school I went

I stayed on the wrong track

I didn't have a plan

to revise my work life

I should of down sized my house

got rid of that new car I bought

Lowered the cost of living in my house

refinanced and move on the lower payment plans

Like most the people in town

but digging out was to much to bare

I did not walk away from my wife and kids

She took in another man

Our marriage was over

and moving on was all I could do

Single My life is better now

I have the respect of my children

and that's all I need to carry on

I don't put myself down or wear a frown
