Two Cats and One Dog

Two Cats and One Dog

A Poem by SmittyJas
"

Mystery of the pets

"
In the warm house
Where we keep our pets
Two cats and one dog
Came as house warming gifts

From our parents with love
In hopes it would encourage us
Too have lovely children from above
But Two Cats and a Dog

Were hard to handle
What a mess they made
But there love was unconditional
We gave them a spot

Right next to our bed
A basket and a pillow
For their head to rest
My wife loved the two cats

I took a liking to the dog
Made it a place of love
and our love grew strong
a lesson was learned

We must have a family of pets to love
In this big house where our love grows
Under one roof
Everyone knows Pets are Cool.

sigh. I miss having pets. What an interesting thing to give as a housewarming gift.

Pets are indeed cool. Everyone who knows me knows that my dog and cat are my babies. :) This is a fun piece, Jim.

Pets are cool - they become family.
A sweet poem Jim.
