Knocking on your center doorA Poem by SmittyJasComing for greet your loveKnocking at your center door Hoping you would answer fast To get my out of the dropping rains I knew our love had growing pains You looked lovely with that flower In your hair next to your ear Charmed I was at your appearance I took a liking to your makeup And the way you combed you hair I was coming to greet your love and never let it get away again I had my lines rehearsed How deep my voice can get with the words that meant the most I loved you from the start Never must we part Was the way the whole thing started I had a happy smile with a honest grin She open the door and let me in more was disguised as we sat in the parlor having a cup of tea mellowing over our love affair Where we been and where we are going I was pleased when she said to me I want to keep this affair going I smiled with pleasure in my eyes To her it was no be surprise We had reinstated our relationship and our love was a new I love you dear Come hold me close grab my hand.
