My Dog and his times

My Dog and his times

A Poem by SmittyJas
"

The stories of my dog

"
My dog in his times
Me in my prime
We had good times
Way back in ninety nine

Trip to the park
Walking after dark
Two hours in the parking lot
Lets go for a trot

feeding the frenzy
My dog eat plenty
after eating we would
walk the neighborhood

We would stand where we stood
Let the neighborhood children
Pet my dog on the head
and run their fingers through his coat

That was silky looking
for the most
I loved my dog
He loved me back

We were inseparable
Like best friends
I taught him to do tricks
Like give my your paw

Roll over and over again
was another trick I taught him
I got him the best dog food money could buy
It made his coat shine

I was happy knowing
This dog was Mine
