Book of Fools

Book of Fools

A Poem by SmittyJas
"

The story of my life

"
This is a book of fools
Changed all the rules
I was a simple child
Not given a chance for success

They said I would be a loser at best
Couldn't complete with the rest
It was middle of the road
or take the highway charlie brown

Most people treated me like a clown
My pants was ragged and torn
My shirt had holes in it wasn't to be warn
People laughed at me when I was young

didn't give me a chance to prove I could express myself
or read out loud for a crowd this was not aloud
My Parents backed me up and said they were proud
They treated me like a spoiled child.

So as I grew older a certain pain was on my back
The pain of being pick on and kicked around
Life change for me one day I fought back you know
Took away my pain I was not a loser no more

They erased my name from the book of fools
Fixed some broken ribs and a bloody nose
And then I rose like a sky scraper a big building in the sky
No one could take away my pride I survived I came alive

I had friends who had friends
and I made many more friends
in the end
