Life's Little Surprise

Life's Little Surprise

A Poem by SmittyJas
"

Married with Children

"
It was the summer of 85
So hot I thought I could not survive
We had our third child on the way
Wanted to name her Charlie

I knew from the others she would be
Blond haired and blue eyes
She was due for October and twenty five
Charlie would be a blessing to our house

A little dynamite to add to the mix
Third children are there own little mess
They have to be independent and do things on there own
Mommy busy with Barbara and Larry

The older siblings
Who would teach Charlie to walk talk
and a few things left unmentionable
Charlie would learn quckly

Better then the elders
Barbara and Larry
Thought Charlie was great fun
years when by and we could cry

they moved to fast
I thought teen years would last forever and a day
Our three blessing
Left at eighteen to visit a university

of their choice
I said my prayers and paid the bills
and sent them with my blessings
and eighteen years of Golden rules
