What Is Home?

What Is Home?

A Poem by SmileOfARebel
"

About a girl 's rejection and loss of a friend.

"
She felt lonely
With no place to go
She always asked herself, "What is home?"
And she opened her lost eyes
And here she finds how cold the world is
She was  always rejected, homeless and afraid
Cold air buried  her insides
Afraid that she is falling behind
She tried to find her warm place
Losing her faith in here?

Do everyone feel cold inside?
Wishing they could fly away?
Hoping to soar to their happy place?
She wished she could when she cried
Tears streamed her cheeks because you have left
Now she knew that another part of her home had died inside

I really like what you've said. Sometimes we can ramble on about form or whatever other literary bollocks we can come up with - but if you like what someone has said - and if it resonates with you. That's got to be the best kind of poetry.

I like that you confront something real, that real people must confront, it makes what you have to say worthy of its words. Fragile, mournful and beautifully written ending :)

Amazing! In the second stanza, first line, I think you meant to write "does" instead of "do." I can relate to this poem personally and it is filled with intense emotions. My favorite part is the last two lines. Good job!
