Arwa, You certainly have the haiku verse form down pat. Your writing is beautiful and this one in particular is very thought provoking. What are the consequences? Is the cycle the act of splashing the puddled water? When the poet asks the reader to think and he/she does, that poet has done his/her job. Nicely done! take care...dan

Arwa, I am really not knocking you, so please don't take this that way. I am just curious: I can't write a short piece, haiku or tanka or crap-a; I've always wondered why a person with your talent with the shorter pieces don't just expand that and write longer pieces. Believe me, I'm not being critical...I am just trying to learn something as a knowledge-starved poet. take care...dan
