Undisclosed resignationA Poem by -Scribe in Style-Dealing with a decision, just because you've decided doesn't mean its easy to accept. Decisions can be forced or a necessity, doesn't mean they have made you happy.Walking past the playground today, Familiar children wave their greetings, Calling me from the swing and slide, And behind the tree where they hide. Sweet smiles and joy light up their face In seeing their fourth grade class teacher Its been too long since we've had a lesson Next week is the second term's first session A pit in my stomach starts to grumble, I ignore the telephone line just for a moment In my heart and mind there is trouble For the decision I have made - undefined. What will I say to explain my decision, What will they say to my explanation? How will I face their puzzled faces, Will the good times turn to be traces? Will my class of thirty forgive my betrayal? Will they understand why I am so disloyal? Their eyes will stare back with questions Will I give them true appropriate answers? Monday is around the corner, getting closer An inevitable confrontation, will I be a monster? I love these kids as though they were my own... I do not want them left feeling all alone...
