The World They Named Boo Radley

The World They Named Boo Radley

A Poem by Andromeda
"

im likin this one

"

How is it that you came to miss it?

How

Is

It

That you came to listen?

To the birds weeping their evergreen tears,

To the wind screaming all the years,

The anger that steers and

Nothingness that sears;

The littlest heartbeat that overhears,

Let alone

Devoid of fears—

Are you so

Areyouso

Devoid of ears?

How is it that you came to miss it?

How

Is

It

That you came to wish?

In the maze of all the ways that all the days

Could have turned in

Bitter unforgiving craze—

Unraveled and relentless

In the haze,

The bitter green

Of the graze—

Are you so

Areyouso

Devoid of space?

Listen to what it says,

Watch as it stays

How is it that you came to miss it?

Did you ever notice it was gone.

In the whispers of your reflection yelling in the pond,

Did you ever notice it was gone?

How

Is

It

That you came to be?

The world they named

Boo Radley

Look out the window sadly

And not so madly, but oh, so badly,

Never wanted so badly,

Here—hear the shrieks

That the foundations make

As the world begins to quake—

Are you so

Areyouso

Devoid of me?

Did you ever notice it was gone?

How

Is

It

That you came to watch?

As it passes by in the world’s glass eye:

Live and let die, die and wonder if

If the world will cry,

Know it will never know why

Sigh and think it all

Happy as apple pie

Lie in the why and know

It comes nigh

Oh, it comes nigh—

Are you so

Areyouso

Devoid of sky?

How is it that you came to miss it?

How is it that you came to listen/wish/be/watch?

Did you ever notice it was gone?

In the whispers of your reflection yelling in the pond?

I love! First, Boo Radley is one of the characters that I love reading your writings about. Second, I love the rhyme. It is great; it follows a pattern and it makes sense still. I like the question formatting too - it addresses Boo while still asking more about him. I like.

(I am rediscovering writerscafe, so you may get a few more reviews, by the way. :])

Reminds me a bit of Narcissus. A lot different from your past writes.
