Thunder Road

Thunder Road

A Poem by Andromeda
"

idk, not the best, but I was on a Springsteen kick

"

Tonight we’ll be free,

Listening to

Thunder Road,

And remembering how it was to be

Knee-deep

In free.

Tonight we’ll be free?

Yeah, right.

Right.  Sure, you know those

Chains still bind us,

Those words still blind us,

But tonight

We’ll pretend to free:

We’ll pretend to be

Thunder Road,

When the darkness was not cold

And all our stories

Were still un-told,

And we were still

Knee-deep

In free.

Yeah.

Right.

Sure, remembering how it was to be

Is not the same to me

As being

What we were:

Sure.
