Ursa Major

Ursa Major

A Poem by Andromeda
"

was gonna be a pantoum, but im bad at those, so it turned into this

"

Secretly screaming

In the beaming

Of the shoved-away star,

Where the whispers

Of Ursa Major

Gently mar

The tears that

Parade in

Feather and tar

Secretly screaming

In the beaming

Of the shoved-away star,

Smoke drifting:

Sky’s memory of

Father’s last cigar

Where the whispers

Of Ursa Major

Gently mar

In shiny glances

Of silver chances

Painted in golden bar

Play the chords,

Sing the tune

On the guitar,

And become immune

To midnight that

Left a scar

The tears that

Parade in

Feather and tar

Smoke drifting:

Sky’s memory of

Father’s last cigar

In shiny glances

Of silver chances

Painted in golden bar,

Secretly screaming

In the beaming

Of the shoved-away star

Play the chords,

Sing the tune

On the guitar

Where the whispers

Of Ursa Major

Gently mar

And become immune

To midnight that

Left a scar

Secretly screaming

In the beaming

Of the shoved-away star.

That was pretty cool. I love the Ursa Major stanza especially. The repetition drives it all home. This would also make an interesting song.
