Diamond's Maul

Diamond's Maul

A Poem by Andromeda
"

a story poem; i havent done one of these in a while.

"

The curtain’s call

Was her downfall,

Was her Sirens’

Drowning wail,

For when the curtain fell

She lost the strength to tell

The script from the living Hell:

The breath of life from the tale.

The curtain’s fall

Was when she crashed

And smashed

And dashed

In a whiplash

Of diamond’s maul;

Too late to tell

                And

Too late to sell

Those dreams

She stole

From the wishing well.

Her Sirens’ wail,

And she would give it back

                And gladly

To live her life

On the edge of a nail,

But the curtain’s call

Was her downfall.
