Insects

Insects

A Poem by Andromeda
"

not sure...but i like

"

It was the slow creeping of insects on the pavement,

Coming to take your place,

Coming to claim the race,

But oh, I would not let them in—

Believe me,

I wouldn’t dare

Let

Them    insects

In.

Not when the grass where I sit is

Saved for you.  And you alone.

Not when I sit,

Waiting for you

Where weeds have never dared

Where weeds have never grown.

But how could you leave me here.

And all alone?

Waiting for you,

Where it’s so bright

The moon has never

Dared

Never shown,

And it makes me wonder,

Listening to the weeping of the insects,

What I have missed

By never having seen the moon,

By seeing only you

Coming, showing up, returning

Forever soon.
