Melody

Melody

A Poem by Andromeda
"

fiddling w/ rhyme and rhythmn; i love musical poetry

"

Lost melody,

Drifting along at the mercy of me:

The mercy of my tides

And my sea.

Take a breath,

Catch a stroke of luck

And it will be—

                Breathe and it will be—

Found, though not tamed,

My vivacious  symphony.

Circumstantial melody,

Played for too long in the wrong key,

Begging please, please

                                Oh, please,

Let be

Set free.

Lean back a little,

Close eyes and see,

And it will be—

                Listen and it will be—

Found, though not tamed,

My vivacious symphony

My tenacious melody,

Drifting along at the mercy of me:

The mercy of my tides

And my sea.

If just once, I would write something half as wonderful as this, I would happily put my pen to rest.
