Overlooked

Overlooked

A Poem by Andromeda
"

idk where this came from, just a phrase stuck in my head.

"

I waited

In the outcome

Of an unexpected turn,

And I waited

In the long, slow burn

Of your heart, which was waiting

To start beating again:

Long, slow, steady sin,

Followed by the tears you knew would come—

Because you knew

Nothing you tried would

Start your heart beating again

Blood pumping again

Breathing again.

And still

I waited,

Hoping perchance

In the

Unexpected outcome

Of an expected turn.
