Summer-ride

Summer-ride

A Poem by Andromeda
"

woa, this wasnt sposed to be depressing............

"

The feeling right before the dawn,

When all moves on

All moves on

All moves on

All moves

                Forward then back

                In a dream of summer-ride:

                Apple-painted Cadillac

                Forward then back

                Forward then back

On?

Is this what they say

It’s supposed to feel?

The feeling before dawn?

When tears are the only things

Fogless, raw, and real?

And all pretends to move on,

But really

Shifts back in the mind

To the time

When treasures were

Summer-ride

                Apple-painted Cadillac

                Across the world and back

And stones across the lake,

Counting the skips,

But more

Laughing

                Just to laugh,

Thinking that

The day would never come

When a reason

Was needed—

The lie

That is called

Moving on

Would never come.

This:

The feeling before

                ….

                                …Dawn?
