Juxtaposed Jubilation

Juxtaposed Jubilation

A Poem by Andromeda
"

Graduation

"

Sing as I sing

In poetic lullaby;

Listen to my words

And sing along in sigh,

For the breath of sleep is drawing nigh.

Sing as I sing

In juxtaposed jubilation;

Happy to beat the wicked way,

Sad to see us part, defeated by

The mission that drives the heart,

And though I know

                I know

                I know

It will be okay,

It hurts

And I choke to say,

On this part of my life

The breath of sleep is drawing nigh.

So, just for this last night,

As the past,

The present,

And future

All blend in fragile sight

In juxtaposed jubilation

For this one time,

For this

Last

                Insightful

                                Night

Of being Forever Young

Please

Sing as I sing

In poetic lullaby;

Sing as I sing

In juxtaposed jubilation;

Listen to my words

And sing along in sigh,

For the breath of sleep is drawing nigh.

Let’s burn the night into day,

And leave this last night

As one for others to copy

In futile imitation.

Sing as I sing

In poetic lullaby with no hesitation.
