![]() BalletA Poem by Andromeda![]() inspired by Stevie Nick's "Edge of Seventeen" and Fleetwood Mac's "Rhiannon"![]() She is the dancer in the ballet, And he loves her for The way she sings along To the rhythm in her bones, As her left foot points, and Her right arm spins around her head, And her eyes dance the most, As she is his little top on the table. And he does not know her name, Just sits in the very center, Watching through binoculars that Show it all in clear perspective: She is the dancer in the ballet/The center of his symphony And he loves her for/And he loves her for The way she sings along/The way she gives him song To the rhythm in her bones/Let loose the dance within his soul. As her left foot points, and Her right arm spins around her head, And her eyes dance the most, As she is the top that spins the world. And she does not know his name, But he is her focus point, There in the very center, that Shows it all in perfect representation: He is the devotee, who is always there, And she loves him for The way he lets her dance In daydreams of romance And she does not know his name, Just lets him be her center— Her balance point, as she Spins the world that is her ballet
