Nostalgic Looking Glass

Nostalgic Looking Glass

A Poem by Andromeda

My first summer here

Is like a blur of

Chicken strips and summer smiles,

But looking back now

It feels so near:

A glimpse of time and

Love despite the miles.

And looking back now

I can see

The way it

Was always meant to be:

A slice of free

Before life moves on.

Through this nostolgic looking glass,

Gone you never will be,

And I—

I will always be the Summer Me.

The photos we took

And the memories we share:

A crystal that will never wear,

A woolen blanket

To curl up in

When winter is too cold

And hope stretches thin.

And looking back now

I can see

The way it

Was always meant to be:

Memory-captured,

Holding hands for all Eternity.
