Cabin

Cabin

A Poem by Andromeda
"

...

"

The winter came and went,

And I ended,

Feeling I’d never

                See you again—

I ended like

The frost of early fall:

Weak and just a

Delusional wish for snow.

The winter came and went,

And with the

First rays of sun,

With the first

                Mocking yellow petal of

                Spring—

And I ended,

Believing you were

                A million miles away.

I ended like

A shattered gasp.

And the smoke of

The cabin

Where we used to

Make our memories,

Before you left to

Gather wood for winter—

Ammunition to say goodbye.

Winter

I ended

Our lie.
