Aftermath

A Poem by Andromeda
"

ehhhhh idk

"

Midnight, take the wind away—

The wind that stirs

            And bends

            And wraps around

The wind that chokes the day.

Midnight, let me see your face—

As the darkness to end the crying daze

           The crying days.

Midnight, when the air is still and

Dust settles on the broken windowsill

Everything is left alone to darkness’s will.

Midnight, take the wind away—

The wind that tortures the day.

The wind that left me lone as

Lone can get;

The wind that drove in wet,

And left all dry—

Tornado siren’s wailing cry.

Midnight, settle upon the treacherous sky,

And leave it dark to

Say goodbye

Say goodbye.

I love this! "The wind that chokes the day" is a brilliant line.
