![]() HauntsA Poem by Andromeda![]() surrender![]() They say he walks in night, Clothed in fading bright of days gone by, Clothed in enticing sight of better days, Clothed dimming, dying olden light— All a maze All a haze Don’t gaze upon his eyes, Which catch and hold Like sticky-papered flies And pull you into the old— The apathetical misery of The days gone by In modern-day the lie. They say he walks caped and cloaked, In molded misery soaked and Creaking dry-old bones choked Rote be footsteps far from home Epitome be doomed piano note. They say he stalks in nightbreak’s tears, Crowned with all worry and all fears Wrinkles etched from eternal years. They say he haunts in night Like a trickster on parade Like a black-knight cunning charade— The devil’s Charlemagne: Beacon of Death’s surrender On his nightly campaign.
