Aimless Melodies

Aimless Melodies

A Poem by Andromeda
"

...

"

Strumming her fingers on piano keys

Aimless melodies

And she closes her eyes to sleep with ease—

The first time since this disease blinked its yellow eyes at her—

This the disease they call the End,

She will fight it off by

Strumming her fingers on piano keys

Music will fight it off

With

Her contrived

Aimless melodies and

A simple plea

A simple plea of please.
