For the Boy

For the Boy

A Poem by Andromeda
"

..?

"
Hands held for a split second:
Together and apart,
Just enough
Just long enough
To give hope
To a young boys heart.

And then they both let go,
Just when the boy averts his eyes,
Just long enough for show,
So that he will not know.

Secretly, though, they share a bond
Unbreakable
An uncertain clutch,
A soft touch in those
Split seconds their hands were held.

And when their hands
Fell apart, neither of them
Knew
Their hands fell apart
Just for show.

But the boy knows.

Cuuute. For some reason I thought about little kids' crushes (probably because I was with a bunch of kids today) and I just saw the pure, innocence childhood love in this.
