Bar

Bar

A Poem by Andromeda
"

...needs a better title

"

Two handshakes in the

Smoggy bar.

Two whispered voices and

The plot thickens.

The heart quickens.

And the glasses of wine

On the oak-wood table

Shiver with

Anxiety.

An Ace of Spades

And then a Jack.

He knows she’ll never come back, and

The other man knows

Just why:

Thirty thousand underneath the table

And that’s the story of Cain and her,

His Abel.

Well...
She might come back if he didn't spend so much time at the bar?
You never know...

Even so, this felt like it might have been missing something...
I'm not sure what...
